We are a social business that researches, produces, commercializes and distributes sustainable sanitation solutions in Mozambique.
Make sure everyone has access to a toilet and contribute to an innovative development of sanitary systems in rural and peri urban areas across Africa.
To be a reference in production, distribution and maintenance of innovative and sustainable solutions for the sanitation market.
Susamati arises as a result of the Biological Urban Sanitation (BUSP) project, funded by Via Water and carried out in Mozambique between 2016 and 2018, with the aim of studying sanitation solutions that would be effective for Mozambican communities. After its completion, a group of young people who were part of the project, led by Manuel Gungulo, decided to use the solution and expand it to solve the existing real problems, carrying it out as a social entrepreneurship business. The products developed were: the fantastic Pia, the use of the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly and health and environmental education packages.
